George M. Kauffman, P.E.
- Founder, VP, Engineering
George oversees NexTek’s
engineering team in developing new lightning arrestor and DC power
conditioning products. George is a recognized leader in the lightning
protection industry and holds multiple patents in the EMC field.
His technical expertise assures that each product line exhibits
optimal technical performance characteristics. George also leads
NexTek’s technical support. Many customers have benefited
from George’s technical guidance when selecting the most
appropriate and cost-effective product solution.
Prior to NexTek, George spent eighteen years at
Digital Equipment Corporation in numerous roles including manufacturing,
product development, product management and software development.
George holds both a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MS in
Engineering Management from the University of Massachusetts/Amherst.
He is registered in Massachusetts as a Professional Engineer.
Richard C. Finnegan - Director, Supply
Chain & Manufacturing
Dick manages NexTek’s
multi-source, global supply chain. Prior to this, he was Materials
Manager for M.W. Carr, where he developed Asian supply relationships
that resulted in saving millions of dollars of material costs.
Dick holds a BS in Business Management from Boston College and
an MBA in Economics / Logistics from Babson College. He is also
a member of P.M.A.R.I., the Purchasing Management Association
of Rhode Island and A.P.I.C.S, the American Production and Inventory
Control Association.
Tim Mullane - Director, Business Development
Tim brings more than 20 years of experience in the Information Services & Technology industry. Prior to NexTek, Tim founded a computer services company. His experience includes managing IT organizations, software development, systems and network integration, and consulting organizations. Previously, Tim was with Siemens AG as CIO for Siemens Business Services in the Americas.
Ed Cope - Sales Manager
Ed brings more than 25 years of sales and marketing experience selling instrumentation and services to the Industrial, Test and Measurement, Military, Aerospace, Semiconductor, and HVAC industries. Prior to joining NexTek, Ed worked at HITEC Corporation as their Global Sales Manager managing the services of installing strain gages; and for over 20 years worked at Setra Systems, Inc as their Director of Sales and Marketing for Pressure Products and Weighing Systems. Ed has a BS from Boston College and when not traveling spends time with family or on a volleyball court.
